Poison Damage simply refers to the type of damage a weapon or spell can cause. In this instance, poison damage would be applied against an opponent’s same resistance. By default, melee weapons cause 100% physical damage. Obviously, magic, runic crafted, and resource modified weapons can cause other Damage Types as well. In this instance, poison damage does not mean damage inflicted upon an opponent because said opponent has been poisoned. That is an altogether different damage.
