Savages are primitive humans, based out of the Ilshenar facet.
There are at least 3 types: Savage Warriors (fighters), Savage Shamans (spell casters), and Savage Riders (warriors who ride ridgebacks).
They were first seen in the Savage Empire scenario, wherein they were warring with orcs. On some shards, the savages effectively "won" that scenario, and are now in control of the Orc fort near Cove.
Wearing Tribal Paint at the expense of karma, enables a character to walk amidst savages un-attacked. Or, at least, it did. The paint also allowed one to fight Baracoon, a Champion Spawn monster, without being subject to his "special move" of turning attackers into ratmen.
Savages are vulnerable to the Repond slayer type.
