Fire Rabbits spawn one at a time around the lava pool on the top of Mount Sho which is located on Isamu-Jima in Tokuno Islands
They are very fast and tough little critters but do little damage, when they are about to die they tend to dig a hole and burrow away
Your pets wont attack them, a simple way around this is to "all guard" then attack the Rabbit and your pet will automatically attack it
Hunting Fire Rabbits is popular due to the rare drop of Animal Pheromone which is used to make Hitching Ropes

Tactics
The best way ive found of killing these is to use the spam attack trick; spamming attack on the critter keeps it close to you, enables your pet to do more damage and stops the rabbit from escaping, i have never lost a rabbit down a hole using this trick; i usually use a Greater Dragon but it still takes a while, Magery is almost useless due to its high magic resist but i have seen warriors sucessfully kill them
