The domain of the gorilla is so far from the halls of civilization, and these creatures (notwithstanding their size) are so adept at concealing themselves, that they are believed by many to be supernatural creatures, or purely mythical. To my certain knowledge, however, they are neither, but rather they are apes of great size, weighing sometimes as much as three large men.
Gorillas live together in tribes, and migrate through the deep tropical forests seeking food. They are gentle creatures when unmolested, eating no meat greater than a grub or locust. If disturbed, however, they will attack with a strength many times that of a man.
