A Bale of Cotton is made up of small balls of soft, fluffy cotton - It is used to eventually create Cloth. It can be stacked or dyed.
Although they can be bought from NPC Tailor Vendors, it is much less expensive to collect them by hand. Up to five plants can be found growing at the fields near Moonglow and Skara Brae (ten each for Trammel and Felucca, up to twenty at once per shard). To harvest, double click the plant and a bale of cotton will appear on the ground that you may pick up. After harvesting fields will slowly re-spawn more cotton plants.
Bales can be used with a Spinning Wheel to produce six Spools of Thread each.
