If you are going to be putting the same stuff on several pages it is better to make a template. For example I see you are creating slayer pages and including the same See Also section in each of them. It will save you time to create a Template:Slayers page and then just using in ~12 times than having to go and edit the See Also on 12 pages every time you have to change something. - JC the Builder 20:40, 2 February 2008 (PST)

You have contributed a lot of great stuff in the past couple months and have been a steady contributor for a long time now. I would like to promote you to the same status as Cogniac as one of the, um, board members(?) of UOGuide. This position is not very defined now but you have the ability to make major changes if you wish or something. I don't know but I just know you are deserving of this position and it is being offer to you. - JC the Builder 12:10, 17 March 2008 (PDT)

:: C :P, I do have KR, but I used 2D for all the pictures. Just alot of cropping and using the "At Icon" option for the stats. There was just a whole bunch of mixed formats between all the artifacts so I figured I'd try and make them universal. BTW, you've done ALOT of great work here and I'm glad to see all the info available. Hope I can help out, tell me if you need anything. :) - GregStaats

New Infobox for Items
Tonight, I've been working on a new infobox for items (weapons, armor, etc). I figure that a universal template would greatly benefit the cause of this website. To this end, I wanted to gather ideas about how effective this template works to disseminating information about particular items before I continue developing.

As an example, I've gone ahead and converted the page [Aegis of Grace on my own userpage using the template, which is still in development. So, honesty, which of the following pages looks better?

I'd like to continue developing this template for mass deployment, but would like to first get the nod from the site's administration. If you could please leave your thoughts regarding the template on my talk page, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thadius856 21:36, 13 September 2008 (PDT)

Hard Returns
Hi.  I noticed you cleared all the hard returns off of Healer's Grove, and yet were able to retain a proper format for most monitor display sizes.  That is something I've had difficulty with.  Can you tell me how?  I run 1680 X 1050, and try to adjust for at least 1024 X 768.  I've been using hard returns to do that.  So what's the secret?

Note - After saving, you may have to bypass your browser's cache to see the changes. Mozilla / Firefox / Safari: hold Shift while clicking Reload, or press either Ctrl-F5 or Ctrl-R (Command-R on a Macintosh); Konqueror: click Reload or press F5; Opera: clear the cache in Tools → Preferences; Internet Explorer: hold Ctrl while clicking Refresh, or press Ctrl-F5.

:Thanks for the idea. In IE I can edit. Nothing I tried in Firefox would get past page loading. Don't want to revert what I don't understand, but this is a good work around. Just to be clear, there was no page to edit in Firefox. It never loaded, so the browser cache workaround was of no use. Ceruleus 05:32, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

:: I killed off the alert(). I had left that in there because I thought that it wasn't executing. Turns out it was most likely a bug related somehow to the fact that I was editing in IE7 at the time; I immediately got it in IE8 and FF. A Ctrl+F5 to clear your cache should make it go away. That "Note - After saving..." Nimuaq mentions was not added by me; it's a default part of MediaWiki on all JavaScript pages. I did a test edit in Firefox a moment ago, and I am having no problem whatsoever. In fact, I am writing this very comment in Firefox, so I'm not having whatever problem you're having, if, in fact, you are still having it.Line Break--Cogniac 05:10, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

:: It turns out it's not IE7 after all. It seems to be some sort of bizarre caching issue. You may have to Ctrl+F5 + Clear your browser's cache in Options or wherever + Close and reopen your browser. I've been fighting it for a few minutes now, and it seems some random combination of these three things will get it to actually catch up.Line Break--Cogniac 15:48, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Equipment Slot info

As I'm going through the main Equipment subpages I noticed that you made a page for Equipment Slots. Just a heads up that the info on that will need some updating and format changing. As I write this, I notice that you're doing a little now, so I guess keep going with that. --Cogniac 21:22, 22 December 2007 (PST)

I snagged the nameing convention for the slots from the Five on Friday for November 9, 2007. I am not wedded to them and will tweak Equipment Slots when it appears you're done with Equipment. Rock on!--Ceruleus 21:34, 22 December 2007 (PST)
Well, I'm getting my info from the KR client. Looking at the one slot you've done so far, I can wear an apron and a kilt simultaneously, according to KR (I haven't tried though) so some of the info might need to be looked into. --Cogniac 22:06, 22 December 2007 (PST)
You're right. I misinterpreted Jeremy's damage list as a comprehensive list of equipment slots; since no belt slot item takes damage, he did not include it in his list. His Skirt slot is your Pants slot. He futher compounded my mistake by listing "apron," which does not actually exist. In the 2D client, both the full apron and the half apron can be worn at the same time as a skirt, kilt, pants, short pants, etc. I gave it a test and will correct the information on Over-Legs Equipment Slot. I'm green with PC envy, if I may mix my metaphores, as I cannot run KR. --Ceruleus 22:51, 22 December 2007 (PST)
Well, I never claimed that I could run KR very well. --Cogniac 03:09, 23 December 2007 (PST)

Testing stuff

If you ever need to test stuff, we have a Sandbox set up here: UOGuide:Sandbox --Cogniac 14:19, 19 January 2008 (PST)

Gracias. I wouldn't want to keep anything in the sandbox, though. I've several tables on my User page that I copy into articles, kind of temp storage if you will. You're kind to have mentioned the sandbox. --Ceruleus 07:29, 20 January 2008 (PST)
