Hunger's Effect on Skills

I didn't do systematic experiment. But it was the fact that many failure of craft and casting are related to hunger. a mage with 118 magery could fail casting energy votex like 5-10 times in a row and food always solve the problem.

I doubt the foundation of saying "hunger has no effect on skill performance" without any quote of reliable figures or source. I suggest removing this will be more justify. User:NestlebUOG

I dont see the sentence hunger has no effect on skill performance inside this page, however there is: Although uncertain, it was said that being extremely hungry could actually affect skill performance, such as in combat or while crafting, which in turn contributed to a very modest market for cooked foods.

Does food actually do any good anymore?
This is sort of a perennial question - I ran it by various devs and got various degrees of eye-rolling, according to their personalities :)
The short version is that your hunger level has no effect on any other calculation. The only thing your hunger level determines is if you can eat more food or not. Now, magic food is a different story, of course, and will have various interesting magical effects according to its nature, but regular, non-magical food has no effect on skill gain, accuracy, crafting success, or anything else.
In light of these explanations above, we can even remove the second sentence. However, if you're truly certain on this effect, we can ask the same question on the Ask the Devs thread of uoforums or stratics again. Nimuaq 10:42, 17 November 2010 (PST)
