Savages are primitive humans, based out of the Ilshenar facet.
There are at least 3 types: Savage Warriors (fighters), Savage Shamans (spell casters), and Savage Riders (warriors who ride ridgebacks).
They were first seen in the Savage Empire scenario, wherein they were warring with orcs. On some shards, the savages effectively "won" that scenario, and are now in control of the Orc fort near Cove.
Wearing a tribal mask obtained from a Savage Shaman, at the expense of karma, enables a character to walk amidst savages un-attacked. Or, at least, it did.
Savages are vulnerable to the Repond slayer type.
