Cold Damage simply refers to the type of damage a weapon or spell can cause. In this instance, physical damage would be applied against an opponent’s same resistance. By default, melee weapons cause 100% physical damage. Obviously, magic, runic crafted, and resource modified weapons can cause other Damage Types as well. Cold damage, along with Chaos, is of the least seen damage types.
