The Holy Sword is a Longsword that was introduced as a 7th Anniversary gift. It is dedicated to UO's sixth year, September 2002 to September 2003. You used a 7th Anniversary Code to claim one. During the 9th Anniversary, Heritage Tokens were given out which could also be used to claim a blade.
Lore
The fifth age, known as the Age of Shadows, was a difficult one. Necromancers had learned to raise the dead from their graves, and holy Paladins joined ranks to wipe the dark art of Necromancy from the world. It is a struggle that still continues. Paladins, thanks to a blacksmith with arcane knowledge, now have the Holy Sword to help in their quest.
