The Chest Slot refers to one of the 19 Equipment Slots on the Paperdoll. Items that occupy the Chest Slot are armaments.
The Chest Slot should not be confused with the Shirt Slot, Robe Slot, or Sash Slot; only armor† is worn in the Chest Slot.
† Includes Cloth Ninja Jacket.

Not counting variations in the type of metal used, Blacksmiths can only create four Chest Slot items:
