Healing lets you restore hit points on yourself or other players by using Bandages. When combined with the Anatomy skill, you will heal more and gain the abilities to cure Poison and Resurrect other players.
Applying bandages takes time, and your chances of success fall as you take further damage. A higher Healing skill can allow you to ignore outside interference.
Although similar to the Veterinary skill, healing will not allow you to aid Animals or Monsters.
Training
You can train on yourself (except for resurrection), but healing another player trains faster.
- 0 - 40: Train from Avicenna in New Haven.
- 40 - 60: Heal a damaged player.
- 60 - 80: Cure a normal poisoned player, using a poison trap box is best.
- 80 - 120: Resurrect a dead player (they don't have to accept the resurrection and you will still gain).
There is a Quest in New Haven that will accelerate your gains to 50 skill. You will also receive a pair of blessed leather gloves called Healer´s Touch
Details
- At 60.0 skill in Anatomy and Healing you will be able to cure poison.
- At 80.0 skill in Anatomy and Healing you will be able to resurrect dead players.
- Healing will always cure the poison first. In order to heal damage you have to apply another bandage. You can not heal a person before they are cured.
- Time to heal is based on your Dexterity
- Using an Enhanced Bandage from the Fountain of Life will give a +10 boost to your healing skill for the bandages application.
Formulas
- Minimum amount healed = Anatomy /6 + Healing /6 + 3
- Maximum amount healed = Anatomy /6 + Healing /3 + 10
- Healing Time Self = 11 seconds - (Dexterity / 20)
- Healing Time Others = 4 seconds - (Dexterity / 60)
- Interruption will occur if the healer is hit for more than 26 damage by a monster or more than 19 damage by another player. The amount of damage healed will be reduced by 35% per interruption.
