The Sheriff of Trinsic requested help finding informants which could help locate Ricardo the Thief. These NPCs appeared to be completely normal NPCs. However some would walk very quickly from place to place and much further than a normal NPC would. There were two types. The first was more common and did not have the password or location. The second was one per shard and did give out the location and password.

Keywords

Shaddy NPCs will respond to the following keywords.

  • Hello/Hi: Eh?
  • Ricardo: Whossat?
  • Thief: Don't know him
  • Reward: I'm sorry, I am not following you at all...
  • Rift: Not sure what you are asking me...
  • Sheriff: I am rather busy. Is this necessary?
  • Rough: Aiiiyeeee!
  • Intimidate: It's not particularly intimdating when you just say intimidate.
  • Scare: When you put it that way, it's really not that scary at all.
  • Kick: I'm not that easy to scare!
  • Punch: Hey! Oh Jeez! You guys mean business don't you?

Only certain ones would give out the location and password.

  • Business: You won't get anything out of me. I'm no rat.
    • Rat: I'll never talk see. Never. See. See! Never!
      • See: Listen here roughnecks, you don't know who you're messing with.
        • Messing: I'm connected. I'm not some little punk, I got friends.
          • Connected: Yeah, so you'd better back-off if you know what's good for you.
          • Friends: These guys are the real deal. Beards. Big muscles. Stronglike.
            • Stronglike: The are miners or something, but they could work you over good.
            • Muscle: Yeah you get the idea. Now leave me be. Let go of me! Ruffian!
              • Ruffian: how dare you. stop pushing me around! i have rights you know!
                • Pushing: Oh yeah just don't quit! listen. don't make me beg. Please.
                  • Beg: *cries* I just wanted some nice things. I'm tired of being poor.
                    • Nice things: Fine. What does it matter. You're looking for an old burned tree.
                      • Old burned tree: once you find the tree, you'll need to say the word "password".
                        • "Password": Just don't tell anyone it was me who told you. At least do that.

You could then either go to the location and enter the lair or take the password back to The Sheriff of Trinsic.
