Dupre's Shield was introduced as a 8th Anniversary gift. It is dedicated to UO's third year, September 1999 to September 2000. You can use a 8th Anniversary Token to claim one. During the 9th Anniversary, Heritage Tokens were given out which could also be used to claim one.
Lore
Arguably Sosaria's greatest threat since Mondain was his evil apprentice, Minax. She terrorized the people relentlessly, unleashing unspeakable horrors upon the land. When she conquered Trinsic, Dupre led the people of Sosaria into battle and in the end was able to liberate the city from Minax's cruel embrace. This shield was given to Dupre in honor of his valiant service.
