Shadow's Awakening was an event that began October 2024 as part of the Echoes of the Blighted Realm series.
Treasure hunters would be responsible for spawning the Manifestation of Evil
Treasure Hunting
The Manifestation of Evil was spawned by treasure hunting (Similar to Krampus and doing trade runs to spawn him). Each treasure chest that was recovered would bring the Manifestation of Evil closer to spawning and eventually would spawn where the last required treasure chest was dug up.
The town crier would provide updates to the spawn progress with the following messages:
- The land stirs, but the evil remains distant
- Faint whispers of darkness echo beneath the surface
- The ground trembles as the presence of evil grows stronger
- A shadow looms over the land, heralding the coming of great darkness.
- The air crackles with dread -- the Manifestation of Evil is imminent.
- The ground ruptures and darkness spills forth...the Manifestation of Evil has begun to pierce the vale near (coordinates)
Rewards
The rewards were a random drop in pack and provided to anyone who helped defeat the Manifestation of Evil that received looting rights.
