Equipment Slots refers to the number and type of items that can be equiped on the body of a player character. There are currently 15 equipment slots, which was not always so. Several slots that have significant gameplay value today had little, non-Role Play value in the past. The ring and braclet slots have been useable equipment slots for a very long time. However, it was only in 2003, with the release of Age of Shadows where they really meant something. Hitherto, the only rings and bracelets that meant something were those special, charged items or EA-sanctioned wedding bands.
