Fire Damage simply refers to the type of damage a weapon or spell can cause. In this instance, fire damage would be applied against an opponent’s same resistance. By default, melee weapons cause 100% physical damage. Obviously, magic, runic crafted, and resource modified weapons can cause other Damage Types as well.
Notes
The artifact, Blaze of Death inflicts 50% Fire Damage.
