One crafting Blacksmiths' selection in the Bladed weapons category is the Wakizashi, which is similar to but shorter than a katana. It was usually worn together with the katana by the samurai of feudal Japan. The Wakizashi requires a skill of 50 to create and consumes 8 ingots in the process. The blade may hold its maker's mark and retains the color of the material from which it is made. Crafted versions can have their durability increased, via Powder of Fortifying, to a maximum of 255 and dyed with Pigments of Tokuno.
It is a One-Handed Weapon for the swordsmanship practitioner.
