A powerful Necromancer using the Animate Dead spell, can raise one of these beasts, from the corpse of a nightmare or Fire Steed. It is rumored that a Paragon Ki-Rin will also produce a Hellsteed. A Necromancer can use the creature as a mount, or allow the steed to follow and attack his enemies.
Like all such summond undead, the Hellstead will gradually loose his hit points, and return to a pile of bones.
