The War Axe is a One-Handed Weapon for practitioners of Mace Fighting. The War Axe is the only "Axe Type" of weapon that belongs to the mace fighting family. A Blacksmith can find it in the Axes category of the crafting menu.
The War Axe requires a skill of 39.1 to create and consumes 16 ingots in the process. The axe may hold its maker's mark and retains the color of the material from which it is made. Crafted versions can have their durability increased, via Powder of Fortifying, to a maximum of 255 and dyed with Pigments of Tokuno.
Note that the Damage bonus normally imparted by Lumberjacking is not applied to the War Axe.
