Patch Notes
At 12:30PM PDT (7:30PM GMT) we will be publishing the following to TC9 (there will also be a patch, which should, in theory, patch itself in the normal fashion. Please post if you have issues.)
NOTE: We will also be copying Atlantic over to TC9 during the publish.
UI Changes:
- Hotbar Improvements
- The main hotbar area now allows you to scroll through several different bars
- Can have up to six separate scrollable hotbars on screen.
- Can remap the hotkey for each slot
- Can select targeting method for each slot (target self, ask for target, target current)
- The Virtue menu has been added
- The Help Button menu will now give feedback telling you your report has been sent
- Group functionality added
- Able to start a group
- Able to bring up health bars (Health bars are still not yet targetable)
- Basic Guild functionality is in
- Chat emotes (the *emotes*) are now enabled
- UI Polish tool tips
- Context menus
- Spells and items in hotbar now have tool tips
- Spells in spellbook now have tooltips
- The Sound Options slider bar is working – it controls the overall sound (effects and music are not split up yet)
- Circle of transparency is now in
- Many more gumps are working
Art Changes:
- Many wearable fixes.
- Many monster animation fixes
- Many environmental animation fixes
- Further improved the smoothness of movement
World Changes:
- Several crash fixes
- Trammel now exists
- Moongates are now active (Known Issue: if you use a moongate to go to the same city but on a different facet, you will crash. Going to a different city should be fine)
- Many fixes/updates to various parts of the world
Gameplay Changes:
- Players can now create females and elves.
- All classic houses and foundations are now able to be placed
- Blacksmithy is available to test (Mining is possible, although there are known graphics issues with ore when it is in a backpack)
- Arms Lore has changed:
- Arms Lore will increase when weapons and armor are crafted
- When a weapon is exceptionally crafted, the damage increase modifier will increase by 1% per 20 points of Arms Lore.
- When a piece of armor (not including shields) is exceptionally crafted, each resist normally available on that armor piece will increase by 1% per 20 points of Arms Lore
New Player Experience:
- The island of Haven has changed substantially (known issue: there are many “pink tiles” in and around this area)
- NPCs in New Haven will now offer a new type of quest to help new players learn how to improve their skills in the following areas:
- Anatomy
- Bushido
- Chivalry
- Evaluating Intelligence
- Focus
- Healing
- Inscription
- Mace Fighting
- Magery
- Meditation
- Necromancy
- Parry
- Resisting Spells
- Spirit Speak
- Swordsmanship
- Tactics
- Wrestling
- All starting templates now begin with 30 points in 4 different skills
