Description

If it is not destroyed, a message is displayed saying the rope was weakened by the acid. These messages appear to have no real effect on the ropes themselves, as some ropes will last for several trips into the Palace even though they are supposedly weakened each time, while other ropes are destroyed on their first use.
They can be obtained from Lucius the Adventurer who resides outside the entrance to the Palace for 5,000 gold pieces. Subsequent to obtaining the recipe for acid proof ropes from the elfin carpenters that inhabit the City of Heartwood, carpenters can craft such ropes by using switches obtained while lumberjacking.
