Renowned is a tag given to the Mini-Champ Mini Bosses found inside the Stygian Abyss Dungeon. They are powerful than the The only Renowned known to spawn outside the Stygian Abyss Dungeon is the Skeletal Dragon [Renowned] which also spawns in Rat Cave, Ilshenar. Renowned monsters have a chance to drop Stygian Abyss Artifacts.
