So why open a talk page for some old patch, you ask.

Well, I don't use KR often. My computer is literally dieing and can't run it for long periods of time, so I don't keep it up to date.

But today I decide to load it up and it gets to this patch. 170mb. But, it occurs to me, haven't all the recent patches only been for clilocs?

See, a few weeks back curiosity got the better of me and I googled around until I actually found out what a cliloc IS. Apparently it's a string of text embedded in the game client so that the server doesn't have to send it to you over and over - For example, say you try to use a skill too quickly, the server tells the client to display cliloc number such-and-such (which tells you that you must wait before you can use another skill).

Now, either my understanding is entirely wrong, this patch isn't just for clilocs, or KR is currently downloading 170mb of TEXT.

Madness? Definitely isn't Sparta...

Maybe KR stores all it's text data in bitmap format.
