I didn't do systematic experiment. But it was the fact that many failure of craft and casting are related to hunger. a mage with 118 magery could fail casting energy votex like 5-10 times in a row and food always solve the problem.
I doubt the foundation of saying "hunger has no effect on skill performance" without any quote of reliable figures or source.
I suggest removing this will be more justify.
