Irk is a named changeling that spawns in the swamps of the Twisted Weald. It carries a key, "Irk's Brain," for Dread Horn, the Peerless boss of the Weald.

Irk drops Irk's Brain. It's dark-grey and looks like a normal brain; it spawns randomly. It's needed to start the Dreadhorn "Peerless Boss". When all six pieces(Blighted Cotton, Thorny Briar, Gnaw's Fang, Irk's Brain, Lissith's Silk, And Sabrix's Eye) are collected they each need to be dropped onto the statue located on the altar surrounded by rocks. It is said that the Irk's brain is the hardest of the 6 keys needed to fight the dreadhorn boss - the named changelings are generally much tougher to kill than the named spiders, and the other keys can be acquired easily.
