Principles

The Principles are a triad of tenets that form the foundations for the moral code known as the Way of the Avatar, or more simply, the Virtues.

The Principles are: Truth, Love, and Courage. Either by themselves, or in various combinations, they form the eight Virtues.


Truth

"If all else is imaginary then Truth is real."


The Word of Power for Truth is VER.

The principle of Truth is made manifest in the Book of Truth.

The Lycaeum is commonly associated with the Principle of Truth, and at one time housed an altar and eternal flame honoring this principle.

Love

"Love plunges to the depths while soaring on the heights."


The Word of Power for Love is AMO.

The principle of Love is made manifest in the Candle of Love.

Empath Abby is commonly associated with the Principle of Love, and at one time housed an altar and eternal flame honoring this principle.


Courage

"Courage turns not away from any peril"


The Word of Power for Courage is COR.

The principle of Courage is made manifest in the Bell of Courage.

Serpent's Hold is commonly associated with the Principle of Courage, and at one time housed an altar and eternal flame honoring this principle.


Infinity - the combination of Truth, Love, & Courage

"Infinity encompasses all things."

"Infinity is more endless than the changing tides, more eternal than day and night"


The Word of Power for Infinity is VERAMOCOR.

Infinity is also known as The One Pure Axiom, and is sometimes referred to as the Void.


Other Moral Codes

In direct opposition of the Principles, are the Shadowlords, and their ethics of Falsehood, Hatred, and Cowardice.

The Gargoyle race offers a divergent view of the Principles, and refers to them as the Singularity- based on Control, Passion, and Diligence.

Lord Blackthorn is credited with creating the tenets of Chaos. A system of moral code to allow individuality and separatism from the growing popularity of the Virtues.
