Note that the house wins on three of a kind, both on 3 and 18. While HighItalic text, LowItalic text and MediumItalic text pays even (2:1), Outside pays quintuple times (5:1). It might seem Outside is the best bet, paying 5:1 on a win, but there is in fact less than 1 in 5 chance (19/108 to be exact) for the total to be any of these numbers. If we check the probability density function:
High and Low are the best bets both having 107 / 216 chance while both Medium has 25 / 54.
