Mysterious Fragment
Mysterious fragments appeared randomly in treasure chests, all types, all facets, all professions, starting with Publish 105 in June 2019.
The fragments can be found in eight colors that correspond to each of the Virtues. They are not stackable and weigh one stone each.

Uses
As of 04OCT2019
Double-clicking a fragment results in the following:
If placed on a Shrine whose color corresponds to the Virtue of the fragment's color, a message will appear stating that you feel a surge of power and the fragment will sink into the ground. There is also the sound of a failed spellcast, which leads to the guess that something is supposed to happen - but failed. See Theories below.
Nothing else seems to happen...
As of 11/8/2019, they remain.....mysterious.

With the Ankh Pendant
Taken to a Shrine while wearing an Ankh Pendant and uttering the related mantra has no added effect than what is already known in relation to the Ankh Pendant.
HOWEVER
After reciting the mantra and while under the effect of a shrine's bonus, dropping the corresponding fragment onto its shrine results in something new happening! A successful spell cast is heard, and healing sparkles surround the character with the following message...
- Do not need to continue wearing the Ankh Pendant to have this new effect
- Traveling to each shrine and dropping its corresponding fragment provides no other discernable bonuses
(This caught me by complete surprise! Will have to do more another time to better gauge what the effect is. Maybe a larger Virtue-buff? Or buffs for the Blackthron Dungeon? Or Halloween Event? See Theories below.) ~Kirthag
Theories
Contemplation of the use of these Mysterious Fragments grows with the destruction of the Ankhs at each Shrine.
- Restore broken shrines
- Grants advancement in the use of each Virtue
- Helps restore Dungeon Blackthorn
- For the Halloween 2019 events
- Creates new Virtue related items
- Rescues Shamino (or others?) lost at the Well of Souls (working theory based on published game fiction at UO.com)
