History
The life of Vaen Swiftar is by no means a dull life. However, to detail the events in his life would be far too long of a read for anyone looking to learn just a few pieces of information on him. The story of his death alone took up roughly 48 pages. In this article, you will read about some of the turning points of his life, and some of the major events that lead him to be who he was.
Vaen started off in Minoc as a miner's son. After having to face his best friend in battle and kill him, Vaen felt the need to move forward with his life, and leave town. He eventually met Rachel and Valatin, and he joined them in their travels. While the three of them were traveling around, they were witnessed to many acts of injustice. After talking amongst one another, they decided to form the Legion of Justice.
The Legion of Justice was around for a few years, and participated in many wars in the name of Justice. The sense of Justice they followed, however, was warped. Nevertheless, the Legion was a very prominent force for years. Vaen's leadership turned the Legion into the most powerful army of its time. Some prominent members of the Legion include Mave Gerhart, Leshok Majere, and Beowulf Thormear, all of whom Vaen considered brothers.
While in the Legion, Vaen met Brianha Frasier. He had met many women before, but none captivated him as she did. Though their relationship was strained through many events, the two of them eventually wed, and had a daughter.
When the land no longer required an active presence of Justice, Vaen retired the Legion and temporarily retired to a remote location with Brianha, who was pregnant with their daughter at the time.
The quiet life never suited him, however, and Vaen returned to the lands to fight once more. This time, Vaen joined the ranks of an old nemesis, Tarothin Armunn. Through deceit and trickery, Vaen, with the help of Beowulf, was able to take down the entire Armunn Empire, which spanned from Dark Cove, to Vesper, and Minoc. Beowulf and Vaen freed Vesper and Minoc from the Armunn Empire, and formed the Northland Republic. The Northland Republic was short lived, however, as Vaen and Beowulf found themselves pushing papers rather than fighting for what they believed. After signing a treaty with the Moonglow Town Council, the lands were granted to Moonglow, and the Northland Republic was absorbed into Moonglow.
Vaen's ultimate demise came when Mave Gerhart had requested Vaen's help in a far off land. Vaen, Mave, and Beowulf all entered an abandoned castle outside the large town of Lysoria, and fought against a group of infernalists. The infernalists managed to summon in a massive demon, who had killed both Mave and Beo before the Lysorian militia stormed the area. In a last ditch effort, Vaen was able to throw a few explosion potions into the demon's mouth, before being crushed to death in its hands. The potions exploded the demon's stomach, killing it.
The three men were honored in Lysoria, and were given the title "Legends of Lysoria."

"Fun Facts"
Lich Lord Admoreth of the Order of the Ebon Skull believed that Vaen Swiftar was the Avatar. Vaen did not find this amusing, and was mostly annoyed by the insinuation.
Leshok Majere found Vaen Swiftar guilty of sexual assault, despite Vaen being possessed at the time, and was sentenced to 20 lashes, administered by Silent Poet. The two eventually made amends, and Leshok joined the Legion of Justice shortly thereafter.
During the Blood Moon, the Stormreaver Orc Magi summoned forth powerful magics to use against Vaen Swiftar. These magics temporarily brainwashed Vaen into believing he was an Orc.
The Mark of the Ebon Skull was branded into Vaen's left palm.
In a quest to discover Humility, Vaen Swiftar and his friend Alexander the Elf adorned dresses, spreading the virtue around Sanctus. This was neither the first nor last time Vaen would wear a dress.
When Minoc was occupied by the Arm Guards led by Bailos, Vaen destroyed the town's food supply, starving the town to start a riot against the Arm Guards. This allowed him and his Legion ample opportunity to invade and take it back.
Vaen Swiftar once went for six million gold at an auction to Mallory Rowdep. The runner-up went for one million. Although the winner paid the six million, she was not able to stay after winning. Brianha, having bid on him but lost, seized the moment to strike up conversation with him. The two bickered endlessly into the night.
The only Lich Lord in his lifetime that Vaen considered a worthy foe was Admoreth. While Norture and Darrien may have been powerful Liches, Vaen was never threatened by them.
Vaen hated it when people called him Vean. In fact, doing so now may result in him haunting you in your sleep. Forever. So don't do it. Really.
Vaen coined the nickname "Lichypoo" for Darrien Church.
The Arcanamach fighting style and division was created by Vaen. The division served as a Council Guard and as a Special Ops. The division used to only allow those of the Arcanamach fighting style to join, but has since loosened its recruitment restrictions.
