BNN: The FoA Try it Again

Troy Lauder December 6, 1998

For several weeks now, there have been sightings of black pentagram throughout Britannia. These symbols have been the subject of much discussion of late. The top question on people's minds has been, "Are these the work of what's left of the Followers of Armageddon?"

With most of the senior members of this organization dead or locked away in Britannia's prisons, most citizens have been left pleasantly wondering whether or not this group continues to pose a significant threat to the land and its people.

However, the Followers of Armageddon, or FoA as they are often called, recently showed an extraordinary display of power, right at the site of what have been the most grim reminder of their lingering existence: the black pentagrams.

Utilizing what one can only imagine to be dark magic of most ancient origin, the FoA summoned a twisted variety of wisp that were pure black in color. While the normal, albeit exceedingly rare, wisp is said to shed light, these abominations almost seemed to absorb the light around them. Their very movement seemed to leave little but destruction in its wake.

A single wisp was summoned at each pentagram by one or more members of the FoA. Fortunately, many warrior guilds and militia groups have been guarding these pentagrams for some time. While the FoA, their sympathizers, and their cursed wisps put up quite a fight, in the end, the citizens of Britannia triumphantly defeated them in battle.

With the FoA dealt another crushing blow, and their resources ever diminishing, the citizens of Britannia are, once again, left pleasantly wondering whether or not this group continues to pose a significant threat to the land and its people.
