Walrus

An ungainly but intelligent creature, the walrus is most common in the northern climes, but can sometimes be found virtually anywhere along the land's coast. Northern hunters customarily pursue the walrus for its meat, hide and tusks, using harpoons and small boats. A fully-grown bull walrus often proves a match for even the most skilled harpoonist. In more temperate ports, groups of walruses often gather about harbors, scavenging the slops from the ships and docks.
