[hide]Shields are large, flat, often round objects equipped in a character's left hand that are designed to block hits from opponents using the Parrying skill. Shields are meant to be both an offensive and defensive item - defensive by blocking hits and possessing resistances and offensive by allowing a character more time and area to strike by deflecting incoming blows.
