You must have a Ninjitsu skill of 50 or higher before you can use egg bombs. When you do so, a Hiding skill check is performed and if it is successful you are hidden no matter what.
An egg bomb checks the hiding skill for success as if you were greater than 7 squares away from your opponent. A rogue to egg-bomb hide even right next to or in line of sight from an attacker if the rogue has 100 hiding.
