These foul rodents are found throughout Malas, including, or perhaps most especially, in the Dungeon Doom. Vampire bats like to hide in dark places, awaiting its next victim to drain of precious blood. Strong, but not possessed of great intelligence, Vampire bats take advantage of their keen senses in the darkness to swoop down upon unsuspecting adventurers. Although highly resistant to poison, these creatures are not much of a threat if met alone.
The Vampire Bat has a unique ability of each time it successfully scores a hit, it enjoys a chance that it will heal a small amount of damage on itself.
When summoned via the Necromancy spell, Summon Familiar, all melee damage done by the Vampire Bat will heal its master (You!) for an equal amount. However, you cannot give a familiar orders like you can a pet.

Notes
Low level and non-combat characters who need to raise their karma may want to consider killing Vampire Bats as they are: easy to kill; have an evil alignment.
