Bane Dragon is one of the creatures introduced with the event In the Shadow of Virtue - Rise of the Bane Chosen. Just like Chaos Dragoons rode Swamp Dragons, Bane Chosen Dragon Riders ride these creatures on their war against Ophidians.
Bane Dragon can also be found near the Passage of Tears Mini-Champ inside the Stygian Abyss Dungeon. Animal Tamers must have a minimum skill of 107.1 to tame a Bane Dragon and they can bond with one.
Blackrock Stew, the only known thing that they eat, can be obtained by completing the Dragon Food quest where you need to obtain 20 Crystalline Blackrocks. While Bane Chosen Dragon Riders can make their mounts perform breath attacks, tamed Bane Dragons lose such abilities.
