Shield
The ubiquitous shield.
A Shield imparts resistances, occupies the Left Hand Slot, and improves the chance of a successful Parry. Shields can be crafted by blacksmiths and carpenters alike. Some artifact shields come with prodigious modifications. Reward shields from the New Player Quests are blessed. Shields are item set pieces and quest rewards.
Shields used to spawn with the item property Hit Chance Increase (HCI), but no longer. Therefore, HCI shields now offered by player vendors command high prices indeed.
