The Dread Pirate Hat is a Tricorne Hat obtained in one of two ways. The killing of Leviathans gives a chance to have one appear directly in your backpack, depending on your Luck. It can also be earnt by following Level 6 (Ingenious) Treasure Maps.
It comes with +10 to a random combat skill - either Archery, Swordsmanship, Fencing, Mace Fighting or Tactics.
In addition to this it also has two random Item Properties attached to it. These can include additional skill bonuses, or enchanced resistances.
It can potentially be a very powerful form of headgear.
