High Quality Granite
A Grandmaster (GM) Miner may purchase a book entitled "Mining for Quality Stone" from the Stonecrafter NPCa in the Gargoyle city of Ver Lor Reg, which is located in Central Ilshenar. The book costs slightly more than 10,000 Gold coins.
Once read by a GM Miner, the book is destroyed; it is a single-use item. However, learning this new skill does not require any additional skill points nor affect skill cap. The skill allows a GM Miner to also mine for stone. To mine for stone as well as Ore the miner must left click his/her Pickaxe or Shovel and toggle the selection: 'Mining: Ore and Stone' from the menu.
Stone can be mined in all Ore colors. Colors match the same vein of ore being mined (Iron, Dull Copper, Shadow Iron, Copper, Bronze, Golden, Agapite, Verite and Valorite). It weighs ten stones per piece and cannot be stacked.
Once mined, a GM Carpenter who has read the book (also from Gargoyle City) entitled "Making Valuables with Stonecrafing" may use the stone to make tables, statues, vases, Elven Forges. A Mallet and Chisel is required to craft with stone. This is also available from the Stonecrafter NPC. Alternatively, single granite chunks may be used as seats.
