Impaler
An awesome opponent, the Impaler is found in Dungeon Doom. The Impaler is not an opponent for the weak of heart or mind, for skill alone will not be enough to defeat it. Wiser than the wisest mage, and stronger than the most powerful of warriors, the Impaler is fearsome in melee combat. Magic spells leave barely a mark on this creature, which is also immune to many attacks. An adventurer would be wise to approach this creature with caution and only with others – if he or she dares approach it at all!

Tactics
Of all the gauntlet creatures, the Impaler is among the most challenging. It's hard hitting melee attacks combined with necromancy spells and special moves such as Mortal Wound and Bleed Attack make it literally impossible to kill without either bringing along a pet or by having a specific template that makes it possible for you to remove its constant stream of blood oath spells and lower it's resists some how...
If you are daring enough, a pair of warriors can work together while cross healing (healing another player reduces the time to apply bandages dramatically). Using the Chivalry spell Remove Curse is a must to dispel the constant stream of necromancy spells like Blood Oath, strangle Strangle and even the special move Mortal Strike. High Anatomy on the healers or an orange petal is also required to cure the frequent Deadly Poison strikes. High magic resistance is required to reduce the amount of damage received from blood oath spells or possibly an enchanted apple.
